CommPortal FAQs

What is the CommPortal?

CommPortal is a web-based self-care interface which allows subscribers to view and manage the configuration of their phone line.

The new site provides the same features from the Unified Messaging site, but also adds more services that allow you to manage your phone line.

Will my login from the old Unified Messaging work with this new site?

Possibly. The username and password for the Unified Messaging site was your 10 digit phone number, and your voicemail PIN number.

The username for CommPortal is your 10 digit phone number, and your password is a 5-16 string.  It can be either numbers, letters, or a combination of both.

If you have login difficulties, or need a new password, please contact Customer Care at 1-800-432-2369 or 389-5100.

What are some of the differences between Unified Messaging and the new CommPortal?

Unified Messaging provided a way to manage voicemail and email messages online.

CommPortal still allows you to do these things, plus it shows caller ID information for recent calls and also allows you to manage features of your phone line.

Is the Unified Messaging still available?

No, all services have been migrated to the CommPortal.  The Unified Messaging platform is no longer available.

Where can I get more information on how to use the CommPortal?

Click on the “Getting Started with CommPortal” link on the CommPortal homepage, or you can access the help menu within CommPortal itself by clicking the question mark next to the feature you want more information on.
